Last week the Insubria Radio Team took part to the second contest of solidarity,promoted by some of the biggest Italian Radio Club. HB9IRC operated by Mauro HB9FBG in CW, Max HB9TUZ and Claudio HB9OAU in SSB, totaled about 720 QSO, while IQ2IR has reached 420 ones, made by Giuseppe I2AZ, Agostino IK2FIQ in CW, while in SSB operated Andrea IZ2LSC, Mario IZ2GAO and Emanuela IZ2ELV.
For us it was a moment of great fun and thank all the stations, who contatcted us and now we hope to get a lot of demands of Friendships Award 2010, so that we can give a good et help to the children of Haiti,

With the station HB9IRC operated by Max HB9TUZ in SSB and IQ2IR operated by Joseph I2AZ in CW from 20:00 UTC on Friday, April 9^th, the Insubria Radio Team will be engaged in the contest organized by or friend Alberto IT9MRM,  in order to collect money for the children of Haiti.
The name of this event can mislead, because it gives the idea of an award, but in fact it will be a real contest, where anyone  will hunt stations that are worth more points, and,  as a symbol of thanks for the contribution paid of 10 Euros, Alberto IT9MRM will sent to all participants an  electronic certificate (Award) in PDF format.

 

Also this year the A.R. M.I. Italian Sailors Ham Radio and Insubria Radio Club are promoting the Contest "FRINDSHIP AWARD 2010 - Pro Haiti" to collect money for children survivors of the earthquake that struck the Caribbean island.
Accepted the invitation to participate in the Contest as activators also the Radio Clubs: Mediterraneo DX Club, Strange Radio Team and YL Elettra Marconi Radio Club.

Anche se le nostre attività in portatile sono in letargo invernale abbiamo voluto iniziare questo 2010 con una piccola sferzata di energia.

Grazie a Luciano IK2QPO, Maurizio IZ1GJK, Andrea IZ2LSC ed Emanuela IZ2ELV abbiamo partecipato al CQ BANDE BASSE 2010 senza ambizioni ed alcuna velleità di ottimi piazzamenti, tenendo a battesimo IQ2IR nel mondo dei contest.

Senza ostentare grandi potenze e grandi antenne, abbiamo messo a log circa 200 QSO nelle bande dei 40 e 80 metri, combattendo con un un forte QRM e QSB, nonché una propagazione non di certo favorevole. E' stata comunque una bellissima esperienza che sicuramente ripeteremo in futuro, cercando di organizzare al meglio un team di contesters.
