Varese 2008 Award - Results
The Varese 2008 UCI Road World Championship award has obtained the success that it deserved thanks also the availability of various active stations, Jolly stations and of course all participants.
In the six days of activities they scored about 6200 QSOs with stations in 100 countries (Italy 1448, Germany 605 and 554 in the U.S.), using the CW, PSK, RTTY and SSB modes.
The station II2BIN leads in contacts with 1645 QSO, followed by II2UCI (1564) and IQ2IR (821).
Unfortunately, the low propagation has not helped to increase the contacts, despite the use of six bands (from 17 to 160 meters).
The most prolific was the band of 40 meters thanks to the short distance contacts followed by 20 meters.
Just the conditions of propagations have led us to review the thresholds for obtaining awards and stations meeting the requirements are 156, 13 for diploma Gold, 70 for Silver, 73 for the Bronze.
